In deel 1 tot 3 kon u alles lezen over klimatologie van de Bordeaux 2023 en de resultaten van de witte wijnen en de rode wijnen van de Rive Droite. Hieronder vindt u de beoordeling van de rode wijnen van de Rive Gauche, waarmee de Médoc en de Graves worden bedoeld. We beperkten ons daarbij steevast tot de betere wijnen van het millésime. 

Over het schiereiland van Médoc kende men een hittegolf in de derde week van augustus, sommige druiven droogden uit, wat de domeinen verplichtte tot een strenge triage, soms druif per druif, wat tot lage rendementen leidde. Margaux oogstte gemiddeld amper 31hl/ha.
